| SCHOOL POLICIES 1) Student shall not be considered registered for the course until the registration fee has been received and paid in full. 2) Student is required to attend, participate and pass all required classes and in-car sessions. 3) If a student calls to cancel an in-car appointment with less than twenty four (24) hours notice, a cancellation fee of $ 75.00 shall be applied. Future in-car appointments will be scheduled only after the cancellation fee has been paid. 4) The Student is notified that the Driver Education course may take twelve to eighteen (12-18) weeks to complete. Due to the diverse schedules of the faculty and their students, Street Smarts can not guarantee any time frame for the completion of the driving program. 5) A $ 30.00 fee will be charged for any check that is returned by a bank. 6) Street Smarts reserves the right to cancel any classroom or in-car session due to circumstances outside their control (i.e. Inclement weather, school closings, etc.) 7) REFUND POLICY: Street Smarts will issue a full refund if a request is received in writing at least seventy two (72) hours prior to the first day of class. If less than seventy two (72) hours and before the first day of class, an administrative fee of $ 125.00 shall be deducted from the refund. NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED after the first day of class. 8) DISCIPLINARY PROCESS: All students shall be expected to behave appropriately inside the classroom. Excessive disruptions to the learning environment shall result in the following: FIRST OFFENSE: Verbal counseling with the student; SECOND OFFENSE: Consultation with the student and parent; THIRD OFFENSE: Student will be removed from the training program. COMPLAINT PROCEDURE At Street Smarts, we take great pride in providing an outstanding driver education program to all of our students. However, should you not feel satisfied with our performance and would like to make a complaint, you should first bring your concerns to a member of our management team. Hopefully by sharing your concerns, a resolution can be obtained. However, if you don't obtain a satisfactory resolution to your complaint, you may contact the Driver Education Department at the MVA and register a complaint.
